Fancy grilled cheese spots can go either way. Sometimes, they lose sight of the salty, buttery simplicity that makes the grilled cheese awesome and add a bunch of crap for the sake of sounding sophisticated. Luckily, Melt does no such thing. Their bread and cheese creations get totally wild, including selections like The Godfather which has a slab of lasagna between the bread, and the Big Popper, which is filled with cream cheese and jalepenos before the whole thing gets battered and deep fried. They also have burgers, salads (pfff) and a huge list of beers and wines to choose from. They even have an eating challenge that requires pariticpants to eat 3.5-pounds of cheese, composed of 13 different varieties between three slices of grilled bread. Our suggestion? Bring a bigger belt.

Zombies are the hottest thing around at the moment and a local Minneapolis, MN bar is taking full advantage. The Zombie Den's waiters all dress like Simon Pegg from Shaun of the Dead and the waitresses wear long, black gowns. The walls are covered with zombie-related crap that's surprisingly funny and subtle. Plus, they have a full selection of high-end spirits, so you can be sure that you'll walk out after last call looking exactly like a zombie.

Usually, restaurants with names that sound as fancy as that are overpriced shams with tiny, but very pretty, food. This New York City meat buffet is different, though. Waiters bring out huge slabs of perfectly cooked meat on enormous skewers. They cut portions onto your plate and keep bringing them until you tell them to stop or you black out from meat poisoning. It's a little pricey, but you could easily live off the meat reserve you'll build up in your stomach for at least a week.
