Even if you're not into ties (especially hip, skinny ones) these are undeniably cool. Each tie is made from sonic fabric, which is woven from 50% cotton and 50% audio cassette tape. It looks like a normal neck decoration, but if you're willing to do a little tinkering, you can actually use a modified Walkman to play sound from it. You can see a tutorial on how to mod a tape player in this video. You can also get a sample of the sound it makes, which happens to be the most horrifying sound we have ever heard. Each tie costs $90, but it's a limited run and a very cool conversation piece, especially if you know any audio nerds or people with a surplus of Walkmen.
