It seems like the trend of super-limited custom Nike runs has died down, at least for those who aren't hardcore sneakerheads. But, that certainly doesn't mean you can't find some wacky limited Dunks out there if you're willing to look. These classic kicks have been tweaked by British designer Daniel Reese to help you show off just how much you love your Tweets. The multi-blue colorway is accented with a stylized Twitter bird logo as well as the word Twitter, just in case there was still someone out there that didn't know you were a complete dork. Even though the nerd-factor is high, we have to admit that they are pretty cool looking. Plus, they'll go great with our Facebook underpants and Hotmail tube socks.

At $550 a pair, you'll probably never want to wear these super-limited kicks, even if you are lucky enough to find a pair. There are only 500 of them in the world and they featre "premium leathers" and Aston Martin branding as well as a slick grid pattern on the side. Osneaker.com is already selling them for $700 a pair, which means they aren't getting any cheaper. Some would say they're hideously ugly, but we actually think they're kind of cool. Although, for that much dough, you can probably rent an Aston Martin DB7 for a couple of hours and get more joy than a pair of shoes could ever bring. Choose wisely, sneakerhead.

In case you're not hip to the whole augmented reality phenomenon, these new high-tech kicks from Adidas will help school you to the game. There's a digital code printed on the tonge of each show. When you hold that code up to your computer's web camera, it reveals a whole virtual "neighborhood" that you can navigate on your computer, using the shoe itself as a controller. Adidas is currently working to develop games and all kinds of other activities that you can partake in, using your kicks as controllers. Of course, they still fulfill all the duties you'd expect a normal shoe to take care of, like keeping your feet safe from puddles and sidewalk gum, but now you'll have a whole new reason to keep your shoes looking fresh and clean. Unless, of course, you don't mind using a grimy kick to control your computer. $95.

Clean sneakers are a must if you don't want to look like a slob, but we're not all rappers who can afford three new pairs of kicks for each weekday. The JGoods kit comes with everything you need to get your sneakers looking hot, including a stiff scrub brush, a foam pad, leather paint and finish remover. The whole kit is stored in a shoebox so it will fit right in with your collection of super limited edition Dunks. $35.

If your shoes aren't looking good enough to get you into a nice restaurant, they're probably making people around you think you're a total slob. That doesn't mean you have to borrow a pair of gators from Snoop Dogg, though. The Vinyl Frontier is a casual shoe with a soft upper and an anatomical shape that make them totally equipped for walking around all day long. Each shoe has a molded sock-liner that keeps your foot in place and reduces nasty blisters that you have to ask your roomate to pop. That means they could save your feet as well as a friendship. Think about it.

Your old running shoes are comfortable for running around, but they're not doing much to impress the females you encounter on a daily basis. Cushe's boutique sneak wears like an athletic shoe, but because of its premium leather and suede upper and anatomical shape, it looks a lot classier. Plus, they're built tougher than the average pair of Chucks, so you won't need to buy a new pair of kicks after every time you go out. If you win our contest, we'll contact you to get your size rather than guessing, which would be more fun for us, but less practical for you.

For as long as we can remember, Air Jordans have been the objects of lust for basketball fans of all types. The 2010 models are no different, offering up a few significant performance enhancements (that doesn't mean steroids). The big ass hole in the middle of the upper is actually a vent that allows you to run cooler on the court. Plus, there's a thin layer of below the padding in the sole to help displace your weight every time you put your foot down. It still has classic Jordan elements, like the red, white and black colorway, as well as patches of shiny leather that has been cool since the '80s.

One of our favorite Seinfeld quotes ever happens in the episode when Elaine promotes that crazy guy to writer at the J. Peterman catalog: "It's hard to keep your feet dry when you're kicking in a skull." Oakley must have had that in mind when they designed these things. Originally designed with the special forces in mind, these $500 feet protectors are slash/puncture proof and fire resistant. Check the site to watch them melt a penny with a blow torch on one without it catching fire. Neat.

A lot of guys have a gap in their shoe selection that exists between their fancy dress shoes and the most clapped out pair of sneakers anyone has ever seen. The Ohana fills that gap perfectly. It has a light-weight canvas upper and an abrasion resistant synthetic leather outsole. Perhaps the coolest feature, though, is the heel-stay, which easily folds down, so in case you don't feel like bending down to put your shoe on, you can just use your foot to convert them into slide-ons. Each pair will set you back $90, but a portion of each sale will go to helping out Hawaiian communities.

If you ever intend to kick it truly old school, then these are the shoes you need to be wearing. These high-tops come in both white and black, both of which have the word "Slayer" embroidered onto them at the heel. There are other subtle Slayer touches, like the logo in the bottom of the shoe. Even if you're not a fan of the band's music (which is just ridiculous), you can still appreciate a good pair of old school high tops perfect for heading out on your skateboard or growing a mullet.

Apparently, Boston Celtic, Kevin Garnett is a big soccer fan. So big, in fact, that he has his own signature shoe all done up in the blue and white colors of the Chelsea Football Club. They even have the team's crest on the tongue and a soccer ball pattern laser-etched into the midsole. The shoe is going to be available nation-wide for $125, but in limited quantities, so be prepared to do some boxing out of your fellow sneakerheads as you all compete for the same pair off the rack. Of course, you can always wait until Nonember and scoop up a pair of the regular TS Commander that KG wears during the season.

Every band has T-shirts, but Metal maniacs, Mastodon got their own signature shoe from Vans to celebrate the release of their last record, Blood Mountain. The band's name is written across the back of each shoe and the side panels are decorated with a grey and black pattern that will look great coverd in blood after you kick someone's teeth in stage diving. Just do us a favor and don't wear them with skinny jeans. That's not metal. They will cost you $65, which is only a little more than a T-shirt and a beer would cost you at an arena rock concert.
